Couple’s bathroom: double sink and other tips

You are finally ready to take the big step and move in together. New home, new habits, a new world is about to open up in front of you. As much as life as a couple is exceptional and allows us to live our love or even just a friendship more deeply, there are cases in which not everything is always sunshine and roses.

One of these is certainly bathroom management. We all know how having a house with only one bathroom can expose us to arguments, time problems, bad smells and so on. However, there are many small measures that you can adopt to make your couple’s bathroom perfect and tailored to your love.

Let’s begin?

Couple’s bathroom: structure

If yours is a new house, on which it is still possible to intervene “structurally” and change the project, the first advice is certainly to opt for a second bathroom. Although the expense would increase significantly, it is the best solution for every problem.

Obviously this is not always possible, so if you cannot think of doubling the bathrooms, you can think of dividing what you have into two separate rooms: the bathroom with sanitary ware and shower or bathtub and an anti-bathroom with sinks.

This will allow those who simply need to brush their teeth to do so without disturbing those who are intent on carrying out their morning tasks, so to speak.

Even better is the idea of placing two sinks, one in the anti-bathroom and the other inside.

Double sink

Let’s face it, the double sink is the dream of every “master” bathroom or in any case of every couple’s bathroom. It allows you to be together in the bathroom and share even simple moments like brushing your teeth after dinner or getting ready to go to work.

The double sink is certainly an excellent idea, the important thing is to be sure you have enough space, then the rest will follow.

Couple’s bath: the rule of 2

Although life as a couple involves a sort of union of intentions and also of objects, these do not always have to be shared. In fact, to maintain a healthy relationship as a couple, even living together, everyone must be able to maintain their own privacy and environment.

In the bathroom this turns into a simple rule that we have summarized with “the rule of 2”, that is, it is important that there are two of each element.

We started with the two sinks, but this also means two taps, two mirrors, two lamps, two toothbrush holders, two soap holders, two towel holders.

But the storage spaces must also be equally divided. This is because in this way everyone will be able to have their objects in their own order, without risking confusion or arguments over something that is out of place.

In conclusion

Whether it’s the bathroom or the house in general, the important thing for a harmonious life as a couple is knowing that even if you live together, everyone needs their own space because everyone has their own lifestyle. Don’t try to force yourself into other people’s rules or habits.
