Ideal Standard’s Aquablade system has created a new way of conceiving the rim of WCs. For the uninitiated, “rim” means the ceramic flap of the WC. In Ideal Standard WCs, in fact, the rim is almost eliminated, becoming as thin as a blade, hence the name blade.

What is diamatec?
Diamatec is an innovative material created by Ideal Standard to reach new heights of strength and thinness. Formed from a mixture of alumina and calcined clay, Diametec allows house designers to produce new shapes that are both thin and strong.
This research draws inspiration from other areas where the highest performance of ceramics is required. In fact, the materials produced, subjected to quality and resistance tests, passed all the tests without any problem.
What is Ipalyss?
Ipalyss is a new collection of washbasins that exploits the qualities of this innovative material. Its ultra-thin edges would not be possible with traditional materials.
Its innovative shapes are also combined with a wide range of colours. The colour pomegranate, a particularly intense and touching red. Or pale pink, soft and delicate in its nuances. Or slate, a clear colour that defines the bathroom.
